Question: Will it rust?

Answer: Iron has a tendency to combine with oxygen out of the air or water to return to its natural state of iron oxide. It must
be protected with wax, oil, or paint to prevent this from happening. I use the best primer available when painting before the finish coat and take every precaution to prevent rust. When you see badly rusting Ironwork, it usually means the bare metal was NOT primed or primed with inferior primer.

Question: Should I get white or black?

Either color is available, or other shades also rarely are used. Black seems to cover and protect better than white,
and most people expect wrought iron to be black.

Question: Will the railings be sturdy?

Answer: Definitely! There are different methods to install iron railings, including free standing that don't attach to anything; whatever the application, they will be substantial and sturdy.

Question: Can you make a table base to
support something as heavy as granite?

Answer: YES! Iron comes in different sizes and thicknesses so a heavier top requires more substantial materials. I have
made beautiful dining room table bases to support granite tabletops.

Question: What is wrought iron?

Answer: Quite simply wrought iron is iron that has been worked or "wrought" It also implies iron which has very low carbon content, so it will not be too brittle to be heated and worked.
