While riding horses regularly in New England, I saw a horseshoer come and work on the horse’s feet. It seemed like an interesting occupation, so I travelled to Washington State in 1979 to attend horse shoeing school to learn the trade. At night, Ornamental Blacksmithing was also offered by a very talented Woman named Dorothy Stigler. She was one of only 10 Blacksmiths in the U.S. chosen to create a wrought Iron gate for the Smithsonian Exhibit
After living and working in different States, I came to Virginia Beach in 1982 and opened a business.
How did I get interested in Wrought iron work?
